    Hi All,

My other half is trying to track down her Grand father's old Massey Ferguson, last we heard was it was in Clare, the reg was yzx949

I know it's a long shot but any help finding this tractor would be greatly appreciated?

Not to disappoint ya but could be exported like alot more were. Worth checking the reg though. Best of luck in the search. The revenue may be able track it down

https://www.motorcheck.ie/free-car-check/yzx949/ must be still in the country so that's a start. 1969 Ferguson.

Might be worth a shot trying the rsa or motor tax office. Maybe someone on here can track it for you. Vintage associations might be another step.

If you contact some of the vintage clubs in Clare and ask if they would circulate the info around the members you would be surprised what might turn up. In my experience tractors out west tend to stay put more compared with ones in eastern counties.

Clare Vintage and Classic club is one, or the organisers of the show that was held in Kilmihil at the weekend

Or if you know a friendly Garda, they might be kind enough to look up the reg and give you the name and address of the registered owner, obviously they're not supposed to do that, but you never know...
