I was in the npws office today talking to a woman there, she said all the licences are either posted or being posted, so I'd imagine everyone thats waiting should get theirs shortly!

Mine came today but it had the wrong address on it..only one letter out..Id say Its a misprint.. should i have it changed??

Odd. Still nothing this morning, but not time to panic just yet.

If nothing tomorrow then i might, but not just yet.

As for the wrong address. If it's misspelled by one letter then it's not a huge deal. It'd be no harm to ring and see if the NPWS want to send it out corrected. Let them make the decision.

Got mine at last. Arrived yesterday morning.

Had to make a few calls. Turns out it was an issue with a folio number. Thing was i've been using it for years and never a problem before. Anyway, all sorted and license got. Roll on the 1st.

I thought you could apply anytime! ??? Am I wrong?

And if so what's the turn around on an application which has no issues

If you've had a license the NPWS issue renewals around end of May start of June. You return the renewal with all the necessary details. Then, usually in the first week of August the NPWS send out all licenses in one big lump. It can be a couple of days between areas but usually most lads have their license within 3-5 days, barring any issues.

If it's done after the main lump of licenses are issued the turn around time is usually fairly fast. Within a week to two at most. If you apply for the first time before the main issuing (August) they will not issue it until the rest are going out.
