MHRV (no boost button?)

I am hoping I can get a response from anyone who has a HRV installed or is current in the process of installing one. I've had all the ducting completed and know the system I am working with. The confusion started as I had thought a booster was required outside the bathrooms and ensuites for the extracts. I have been told by the installer (not the supplier) that the system will detect the moisture and no booster is needed. This is strange as the supplier recently had an offer "FREE Humidity Stat" which I assume is for the extracts... Before I go and close up I need to make sure I wont have to retrofit boost wiring - anyone ?

most hrv units can boost based on any form of switch. e.g. humidity sensor, pir sensor or wall switch.

    some suppliers have wireless options.

for the units i have researched all the details on boost options are in hrv unit installation docs.

Some units have humidity sensors built into the unit itself so when moist air is passing through the heat exchanger the boost is activated automatically.

Have a look at the wiring diagram for unit your looking switched live termination in which you can send 240v signal to unit to boost for set time.

You can run a single cable from a source cooker hood, dip switch, pull cord in bathroom any source really.
