Im looking into getting a second phone line in the house, im still living at home so my parents have their line and internet which i don't touch, im using mobile broadband and my phone for internet and calls but the coverage is spotty and i need a more reliable line, how much would it be to get a second line in from eircom and what costs am i looking at for the bills? im purely looking for broadband only with no phone access. is it possible to get one in and keep both bills separate?

Vodafone are the cheapest at €35 a month for just broadband with a contract. If you don't want a contract, go to Magnet.

Why would you not share broadband? A good router could set limits to devices on case you're worried about one party overusing bandwidth

The obvious way forward would seem to be to help fund a superior broadband package e.g. unlimited/bigger limit faster speed etc and share it.

its just like getting a new line, ie a one off charge of 125 euro, then a 12 month contract line rental, but if you take bb you could get a deal. look on eircom website but when I wanted a second line I had to ring either sales or customer service.
