Im going for an interview in a few days, its with O'Briens Sandwich Bar, i was wonder if anyway might have any idea of what questions may be asked or any tip for the interview itself, it very important i get this job and i am bad with my nerves. I have worked in the food industry already so thats kind of a bonus.

What would you care about if you were the manager?

The person has good time keeping
    The person is honest
    The person is reliable
    The person has good hygiene
The person can follow orders and instructions
    The person is presentable
    The person is likeable
    The person will stick around

The interview questions will be about the above items.

Just to hijack this thread abit.

If you were being interviewed and then they asked do you have any questions. How would it be perceived if you asked what's the staff turnover rate/level like?

Not very well I should think.
Do you really expect them to say "staff never last long here" ?

I always ask that question. If they say it's quite high, or give a shifty answer, I decline the role.

I've never asked it before but you could get alot of info about the place if you did.

As you say yourself a less than positive answer will raise alot of red flags but equally you may come across as a bit of a dick if you did ask it.

They're going to ask you the typical questions, just practice your answers and you'll be ok. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but its not going to be a particularly challenging interview because its for O'Briens and they just want the cheapest person for the job who's going to keep their head down, do their job, and not bother them.

They want to know that you are going to take the job seriously, that you work well in a fast paced environment, that you are punctual, hygienic and reliable, that you work well as part of a team but can accept a leadership role should the need arise, and that you take direction well. Once you cover all of those bases in your interview you will be fine.

Remember to smile and be bubbly. Once they like you, even if you don't interview perfectly they will bend rules to get you in. Its all about the impression you give.
