    HI
I have tried to research on BOI website the fees that apply to both Mastercard and Visa debit card when used abroad for a single transaction but did not find any information.
Can you please tell me the fees for both in a EU member state which does not use Euro as currency. The amount would be cca  € 500-6oo in a single transaction.

    Thank you

    Hi bigmomma22,

The daily exchange rate associated with using your Visa Debit card is governed by Visa Europe as opposed to BOI. Exchange rates can change all the time therefore, please see here to the Visa Europe Website which will allow you to use their currency converter to find the rate that Visa Europe imposed on the day your transaction was processed.

We hope you have a safe trip, should you require any assistance while abroad our Bank of Ireland 365 Team are on hand and can be contacted on 00353 1 4044000.

If we can offer any further assistance here please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Thanks,
    Paula C
