Fixing sink to a tiled wall..

Is there any way to secure a pedistal sink to wall without using wall plugs / screws?
I have installed the sink but made a boo boo and cracked a couple of tiles.
Need to move the sink to one side slightly.
Would no more nails or something like that work?
    The tiles are gloss finish.

Also the waste seems to be lewaking and tightening it up underneath seems to make no difference , Ire-used it from the origional sink i removed.
Would it be better to just buy a new waste?

    Cheers.

Were you using the right drill bit? Careful use of a tile bit (and some masking tape to stop the bit dancing all over the tile) should get you through without cracking.

Waste wise, I thoroughly recommend the Basin Mate thing from BnQ (might be available somewhere.) See this thread for more

It wasnt the drilling the cracked the tile..it was me not thinking about the way the sink needs to be fixed , the holes needed to be drilled at an angle , I drilled straight holes , and tried to fix the sink using screws , the straight holes and angled fixing hols on the sink meant there was force being put on the tiles.

First mark your hole positions and then start off drilling, as soon as you get a bite in the tile bring your drill down to the angle that you require for the screws.

Remove your waste and clean it thoroughly, put a line of white silicone on the waste and a line on where it sits in your sink. Put the waste on carefully and then very carefully put some silicone on the bottom of the sink where the waste comes out, filling the gap between the waste and the sink. This stops the water from your overflow from leaking through the threads of your waste.

Hand tighten and then a little squeeze with a pump pliers should be okay.

Make sure to wipe off excess silicone before it sets.
