Affordably Printing and hanging photos

I have a few of my photos printed BIG, framed and hanging on the wall. They look excellent, the chap who printed and framed them done an amazing job.

Problem is to get non standard (or even a standard), big picture printed and framed is 100+ euros.
Its worth that price for the quality, but that's a bit over my budget at present.

So, I'm wondering how people print and frame their stuff relatively big, but in a little more affordable way?

    Harvey Norman and Ikea.

I've seen a few big prints 16 x 20 in Ikea frames and they looked fine. The Ikea frames were stripped back a little when bought and and "repainted" with a cloth , bit like the paint and grain effect rather than their shiney white/red/blue frames

Second hand shops and boot fairs are a great source of old frames that can be re-finished cheaply enough if you don't mind an eclectic approach to your gallery.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Frames are not really the main issue, the main issue is large pano style photos ( A2 or larger in width) that require specialist printing and bespoke framing.

Im willing to do away with the bespoke framing though if i can find a method of hanging them so that they look good, but without glass and a frame.

Have you looked into dry mounting onto foam board or dye sub on aluminum
