Gigging : Starting off and where to go ???

    Hey all,
Just looking for a little advise to steer us in the right direction.

Recently formed an acoustic band ( bass, piano, guitar, ukelele and singers )
and have been practising for 2 months now. We do covers ( eric clapton, munfords, paulo nutini etc) and have only about 10 songs boxed off at the minute. I would consider us decent on our instruments as we all have been playing for 10+ years but 3 of the 4 of us would have limited gigging experience. We are looking to do this asap.

Can anyone recommend us any decent venues in Dublin where we could get away with an hour set say...??

P.S. were not set on being paid , just starting off and looking for experience.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Richard

I had a very bad experience with the guy in Sin É. He wouldn't allow us to use our own engineer.

With your own gear or theirs?

Their gear. When I said that I would be prepared to even just have our guy sit in with his engineer, and not even touch any of the gear (as I understand some people can be pretty uptight about that stuff), he told me I was mad. I don't have time for that kind of thing,
