vat reclaim

    Just wondering what you need to send in. Do invises have to be stamped paid. First time doing this so all advice welcome. Just put up a shed and looking to claim it back. How far back can you claim it back

    Invoices do not not need to be stamped "paid".
    Just fill out vat58 form and send original invoices.
    You can go back 4 years.

    send a picture or 2 of the shed and a copy of the planning permission been granted

    you should get away with January 2010 to August 2014

    if your buying paint to paint new bare steel yes.

    if its to repaint an old shed - no as its repairs and maintenance

    How will 'they' know the difference?!
    Anyway, it was paint for an inside room...Just wonderin.

    they may make you prove it and if you havent bought steel well how can you paint it.

    and then if you cant prove it and you have signed the vat58 will they might play nasty
