US Ryder Cup team becoming more unsettled

Because they are worried Paudge will win this, get a wild card pick, and their chances in Scotland will be zip ?

No because Kuchar's back is goosed, Tiger is goosed and Dustin is out

EDIT: And Dufner has a bogey neck

I'd really love to see Harrington return to his old form but it seems unlikely these days. Monty level par so far.

Well he's 1 under now, and his playing partners are 1 over. C'mon Padraig!

Those are the reasons they would cite alright for their withdrawing from the competition if they heard P was picked. But would we believe them...

Paddy back to level par alongside big Phil but Tigger is now 2 over after 5. GMac at -1 after 4

It's great to see his full round, he still plays a lot of really good golf.

Are Harrington and co. playing the back nine first?

No sign of any injury. His golf is similar enough to recent weeks, missing greens from good positions, birdie was a chip in after a poor enough miss.

    Cheers Cairny

Tiger's always been somewhat erratic off the tee, but some of his 'misses' in recent weeks have been bizarre!

Feel like there's a crazy amount of pressure on Rory this week, as if people just think he has to turn up... a good solid round one today is all he needs. Fairways, greens and a couple of birdies.

Another poor short iron at 18, not giving himself birdie chances like he used to.

Harrington as close with a wood (tee shot in water).

Off the tee he is doing OK. Its the shots to the green where he is not threatening the hole and so birdies are in very short, or lucky, supply.

Good par in the end for Harrington after finding the water.

Anyone know how did Edoardo Molinari get into this one ?

Scoring seems quite decent. Chappell & Freddie Jacobsen have it to -4 already. No doubt both of them will probably miss the cut.

You're great fun. This is a golf forum.

Good to see Paddy making a solid start. Monty sailing along nicely at even par. Go Monty!

    Both banned for a week.

    1) Accusing a golfer of being on drugs is not golf discussion and does not belong here. Plenty of warnings on the Dustin Johnson thread itself.

I edited the original post to remove the defamatory remark before posting the warning.
    2) Since time began arguing with a moderator on thread has been forbidden.

Tiger drops another f-bomb, terrible drive.

Paddy back to level par again but Phil and Tiger are 1 over and 2 over respectively, so he's doing the best of the three of them.

Rickie Fowler is bounding along at three under with 13 played. Five birdies and two bogies. Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter also having a good day at -2.

Two guys who are crying out for a bit of form before the Ryder Cup

And just as I say that Paddy bogies the second for two in a row to join Phil on 1 over but Tigger does the same and is now three over. Not looking good for the Tiger revival right now. Kevin Chappell is -5 after 13 with Edoardo a shot behind but only 9 played.

Edit: Oh Lord! GMac has doubled the second and is now three over.

If you want to post about the US PGA then this is the right place.

If you want to publicly accuse people of being on drugs without *any* proof its not the right place.
If you want to continually breach the charter its also not the right place.

Enjoy the golf and stop being silly.
