Kitkat 4.4.4. issues

I updated my moto G to the latest version of Kit kat yesterday and it seems to be causing no end of problems.
Firstly, my battery is being drained with very light usage in about twelve hours.
I was getting three to four days previously.
Also I am only very occasionally picking up on 3g.
These are the two issues I have identified.
Any body else having similar or other problems and have you found any fixes?

I'm on 4.4.4 on Moto G 4G (unlocked) and no issues at all.
Everything seems to be working the same as on 4.4.3.

    Thanks for your reply.
Maybe the problems are particular to my phone/settings.

I updated to kitkat on a note2 this week and I have the same trouble OP. My battery was lasting me a solid 4 days but it is now drains in 36hrs of very light use even though I've made sure my settings are the same as they were on jellybean.

Did you get an official OTA update?
My update was an official release of stock from samsung but as it's not available in Ireland yet I flashed it myself. Initially I flashed it as an update which retained all my settings etc and it was even worse than it is now.It was eating battery in 12 hours and quite slow. I wiped the whole phone and flashed again and it is definitely better after the wipe in terms of speed. The battery is giving me an extra 24 hrs but isn't a patch on the battery I had been getting on the earlier version of the os.

I say try a factory reset and if that doesn't work then wipe the phone altogether and flash again.

    Flash it again...

And make sure your battery has at least 70% before starting...

Having researched a bit on google I have went into my app settings and reset their preferences.
This seems to have sorted the battery drain problem for the moment.
I am still not getting any 3g connectivity though that could be a server issue I guess.
Hopefully this might help somebody with the battery drain problems at least

I am having the same battery problem on a Moto E.

Which app preferences did you change?

    All of them mate.
I went to settings-apps-settings-reset app preferences.

It seems to have helped a bit at least
