New Fuel Pump - MPG Increased??

    Hey guys,

I got a new fuel pump put in this week in 2003 BMW 525D. Just driving it today and I've noticed the fuel gauge has hardly moved, where as before I'd have used quite a bit of diesel already with similar driving. Would replacing the fuel pump have increased the MPG or should I worry that my fuel gauge is acting up now!?

New pump or even a new fuel filter can restore better mpg.

The fuel is at correct pressure at injectors and able to make a better spray pattern so you get better fuel air mix and stronger ignition in chamber. Better power and more MPG happy days :)
