5.10 Gal - Moon Dice - 10/1 - On a lower mark than when winning hurdle here a few yrs back, still a young horse and ran a cracker to be a staying on 6th here earlier in week, have a look at that race out the back the whole way and not given a chance.

7.55 Gal - Botanical Lady – 6/1 - Weighted to win, I thought she was very unlucky earlier in the week, had to wait forever to get out and when she did, she really powered home. Will stay the extra furlong but was quiet a handful last time (Free)when running over 7. Watch full replay, should be really hard to beat

Like Moon Dice too having backed him the other day. Trainer is a shrewd operator and very interesting that he's running him again.

Also keen on Kingsgate Native @ 12/1 in Goodwood 3.40. Gets his preferred ground and despite getting on he showed enough for me in his recent run to suggest he's too big a price given his class and conditions

    Ew singles & Double

This would have been a nicer plot rather than the race on the Tuesday. Id really fancy him if he didn't run earlier in the week. Although he never got into it I'd worry he will still run a bit flat tomorrow. Will still do him e/w though.

Heading down tomorrow evening and would be all over botanical lady....but surely the draw will scupper her, for win purposes anyway..Will need massive luck to get a run and could easily see a fast finishing unlucky 5th..

saying that will probably still be on her!

Im also gona take a chance on El Salvador 6.50 Galway at 12/1. Hasnt been penalized for wins in Bellewstown or Killarney, should like the track and Donnacha claiming 10lbs should have him bang in the mix.

Im also very fond of Awesome Star in the 7.25. He didnt know how to race the last day and will like the step up in trip. Probably no value in the race that's in it but might get 3/1 at the track if the Weld followers come in...........

I know he is only rated 100 and has a bit to find, but I think Caspian Prince at 28/1 is a very big each way price. He is one of the most progressive sprinters around this year winning four times, including the Epsom Dash in a good performance off a mark of 97 and ran well off a mark of 101 to be runner up at the Curragh on a track that I don't think would have suited him. Despite being by Dylan Thomas I think he is a pure speed ball and Goodwood sprint races suits a handy prominent racer like him. I could be way off the mark but when you see the likes of Tropics and Moviesta at the head of the market you can tell how open it is, some of these are very inconsistent. Kingsgate Native is probably the best of these but finds it extremely hard to win. 28/1 on an improving horse is too big

I'd imagine the drop back to 5 will scupper a few chances particullarly tropics who I would be siding with had it been over 6....race to avoid imo as its wide open

Cam Hardie has been riding quite well in the last few weeks, but hasn't been rewarded with the amount of winners he should have gotten. Out of the rides at Bath today, there's surely a few winners there for him.

6:05 - Ninfea has recently been switched back to the flat after an unsuccessful campaign over hurdles. Looks like connections are trying to get as many wins on the board before the handicapper takes notice and boosts its handicap. Even with a penalty after winning a few days ago, this looks a very mediocre race given the form of this horse. Will be happy to take this at 9/4.

8:10 - The Dandy Yank, this one raced against the favourite Searchlight only a week ago and bombed badly over course and distance. For whatever reason, The Dandy Yank didn't perform as well as it should have and was ridden a long way out form the line. The fact it's been given another chance and fitted with the first time visor gives me hope that whatever issue the horse faced that day has been fixed. I think it will over come this time at 4/1.

Have the two above in singles and a double.

Agree with that one. The only worry is that Panama Hat is unexposed and you would have to fear it given the heroics it has displayed in the last month. El Salvador on the other hand is a proven horse at listed level, so you'd have to side with it and its experience.

I have a feeling artful artist will surprise a few today after his run over hurdles during the week. Fran Berry wouldn't make the weight for Artful Artist and is riding the winner of the race last year Dark Crusader from the same owner. The fact Artful Artist is out again and same owners would suggest to me that Dark Crusader will be kept for York (Fran riding there also) and out for a spin with Artful Artist sent out to win.

    Just a hunch..

Oh, and one to keep Billy happy.

2:40 Bangor - Four Shuck Men - This one was owned by a lad on here when ridden at points in Ireland. Think it got a bad injury last time out and is making a seasonal reappearance after a year out. Will require a massive training performance to get it winning first time out, but in what looks like a three horse race and 14/1 odds, I think you have to take a gamble on it. Think it'll either win or jump like a pig and come nowhere.

    Goodwood 3:05

Tough looking race and as im only looking at the race now my initial impression was Red Avenger could run well but pricewise has selected him and the value may be gone at the current 14/1. Instead I’m going to go with a couple of big outsiders with a bit of class that might just be overpriced here. Pastoral Player never got involved at all last week but even though this is 1 mile and his record isn’t great at that trip he has looked a few times this year like a decent performance is imminent. 25/1 is worth taking a small risk. In addition Boomshackerlacker has some very decent form and doesn’t look a 50/1 shot to me here, he is worth a min bet at that price.

1 Point win Pastoral Player 25/1
    ½ Point EW Boomshackerlacker 50/1

    3:40 Goodwood

    Kingsgate Native
has been having one of his most consistent years this year, apart from his last slightly disappointing run he is well up to winning this race at a decent looking 12/1. In addition Monsieur Joe might be the one to get involved here at a huge price as he has plenty of form this year that is closely matched with a few at the top of the market, and it would be amiss of me not to have a go at my type of price 50/1.

1 Point win Kingsgate Native 12/1
1 Point ew Monsieur Joe 50/1 Stan James

Anyone thinking that Battle of Marengo is stonking value at 20/1 in the opener at Goodwood? Awful form since leaving Ballydoyle, but based on previous exploits, this one is surely competitive at this kind of level?

Backed Bow Creek in the next he seems to run best in these small field races.
Also took a chance with Hamza in the sprint at 16/1. Very open race his 2nd place behind Maarek in the abbaye last year plus his beating of Es Que Love in April must give him a squeak.
4.15 Inniscastle Lad e/w for me liked the way he won his maiden with the him and Cool Strutter pulling clear of the field. The 4th that day has won a maiden since. Muir's horses in form also.

The Weld horse Massinga in the 19.25 at Galway is being backed as if it's a certainty - lots of 6/4 available this morning, odds-on everywhere now. Mentioned in the Tips thread before its recent demise.
I'm very tempted to lay her @ 1.86 on BF - O'Brien and Oxx both have strong contenders in the race and Bolger also has a runner, although it seems unfancied. I know she gets a 5lb allowance but I generally favour colts over fillies when they face each other - Zarkava/Treve notwithstanding! I just think she's the wrong price and people are jumping on the "Weld hotpot" bandwagon.

Very easy, race was won at the start when she was able to come to the front so easily despite the bad draw
