PAYE workers regestering as my employers for childminding? Implications of same?

Im a single Mom on LPA. I have been offered a job minding kids for a family. They would prefer cash in hand, and simple and all as it sounds, I wld prefer to do it above board. I prefer being honest, but also obv there is risk involved and a fear of being caught out. I spoke to my local SW inspector and he said just to let them know in writing what extra Im earning and they will deduct accordingly.
The family are obv wary of me declaring this and naming them if they pay me this and naming them if they pay me cash, and worry if i send a letter to SW they will investigate why I am jot paying tax etc. and this will have implications for them.?
    My questions are these :~
    1) What is involved in the parents registering as my employers and paying my prsi, taxes etc? How would they go about this?
    2) If I were to work 20hours per week could I then apply for FIS and keep my LPA?
The family have said I can have the job if we can come to some arrangment to make us both happy regarding payment and without putting them to a great deal or trouble or implicating them in any way. Obv I can understand they could fill the position ten times over with ppl willing to take straight cash into their back pocket so I dont want to loose the position by being akward.. :/ I cant afford to not take the job :0
    Pls help! Thanks!
