Reporting UK/US Dividends, when and at what FX rate?

    I spoke to someone in revenue before about this and they didn't seem to be too bothered, just told me to pick the rate from the central bank website or something and it would be close enough. It really doesnt have to be precise, for the ordinary Joe. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

    Thanks! So I assume ill declare them on PAYE anytime after 31st Dec? At the central bank rate at that date?

    Official exchange rates:
    http://www.centralbank.ie/polstats/stats/exrates/Pages/default.aspx

    If dividend payment date is lets say 31/07/2014 use official exchange rate to calculate dividend in euros.
