Is it just me or has the ROI section been taken down completely? I check there for news (or lack there of) regarding fibre. Ominous or what?

It has been taken down and conjoined with the UK forum.

With regard to eFibre, there is now no place for us to find out. If one looks up Silicon Republic. Some weeks ago Sky were looking to join Electric Ireland and Vodafone in their new venture.

So if that happens it will be sometime before Sky enters the Broadband market if ever.

Yeah I read that a while ago. They're worse than politicians for vagueness and skirting around the issue.

I had a Vodafone sales guy at the door a few weeks ago pushing their fibre. After this I rang sky to see what was the story with upgrading to their fibre as an existing broadband customer. I was told they are only trialing it at present and once it launches there will be a massive ad campaign. Read from that what you will.

Theyve been "trialling" it for a year. Without any actual triallists as far as anyone can tell.

Makes you wonder really. Have to say though I'm happy enough with their broadband as it stands.

I only part of their package that keeps me is the phone one.

There CS compared to both Eircom and VF is very good. Having experienced the others

Only problem is they do not provide Fibre. Have had them since Sky arrived , speed may be not as fast. But everything else work.

    One day perhaps.
