Yeah thats good. It did rock.

buuuut.... it kind of seems like they should be the backing dancers supporting the guitarists, not the other way round.

Oh good god, it's this guy again. He's already had two threads with post after post going on about how amazing they, the man's obsessed, it's really getting weird at this stage (actually if you look at the other threads, it already was!). This one'll be locked up soon too.

That tune they have, something about chocolate is pretty catchy though :pac:

Edit: Wait, the Baby Metal crazy person was not the OP, it was Dublin Red Devil. Are you the same person? Odd.

It all sounds like mid nineties J-rock to me.

Japan has some decent bands though to be fair. Check out L'arc En Ciel, for example, are Japans own Aerosmith.... kind of!

Absolutely. The same as Steps, Boyzone and all the manufactered puppet/muppet incarnations.

The true test for all these 'performers' should be that on live television where they are ready to mime their latest abomination, give them a guitar, bass and a drum kit and say 'we've had a technical issue so your backing track is fcuked, we're going unplugged live in 3, 2, 1'.

I am an your atypical narrow minded old rocker cnut who pretty much believes originality died like 20 years ago and everything is just a rehash or for shock value etc etc....then purely by accident I came across this video and I have to say I was hooked from the first second.

The visuals ,the melody, THAT CHORUS!! I want to hear more of this, I want to see more of this, I am about to buy me a CD from a current band for the first time in 20 years, It takes a lot to get me interested in any music these days but **** me THIS is original, this is EXCELLENT! I LOVE IT!!!

That's what the Japanese find sexy.

Nothing wrong with it, but the music itself is fairly meh as far as I'm concerned.

The fact that it's a purely commercial project (The girls have no interest in heavy metal, didn't even know what it was apparently) is fairly off putting too.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Babymetal is a bit banal, it's all about the Japanese Noise Rock for me.
