As stated in title, I am experiencing this is in a BMW 525 RWD car. Car will drive to the left if steering wheel is striaght. What am I dealing with here, is it wheel balancing/alignment/tracking?? Its a little bit annoying and want to get it sorted. Tyre pressures OK. Car driving perfect otherwise. thanks in advance

It's your alignment. Look for a decent tyre place and they should be able to do it.

Your tracking/alignment (the are the same thing) is out.

It could also possibly be a worn ball joint but the most common thing is that the alignment/tracking needs adjusting. Any good tyre centre with proper alignment equipment should be able to sort it for you, costs about €30 to €40.

It could also be a dodgy brake calliper, check the front wheels for excessive heat from the brake disks after a longish drive.

Would it possibly be that the steering wheel was removed and put back on the wrong splines.?

quite possible, does the car actually steer to the left if you release the wheel?

Also possible. The Aul fellas discovery was like that when he got it.

It drove straight as an arrow when i got it, just developed this gradually. It wouldn't have had the wheel off in my ownership. Now, to drive straight where the very top of the wheel should be in the 12 o clock position in about the 3 seconds past position (if that makes sense!)

Just brought it to work mechanic and he confirmed the alignment is way off, have to bring it back to him next week and he will get it sorted for me. Thanks everyone for your opinions.
