    Registration now open for first Great Dublin Swim on 9th August

    Dublin City Council and The Irish Long Distance Swimming Association have announced details of the first J.F. Dunne Insurances Great Dublin Swim – Dublin’s newest open water swim.

    The event takes place on Saturday 9th August with 750 metre and 1,500 metre courses catering for swimmers from novice to elite levels.Both races start near Sean O’Casey Bridge and offer an enjoyable swim around the Docklands before finishing by the Jeanie Johnson. Registration is now open on www.greatdublinswim.com

    T-shirts and swim hats are available to the first 450 swimmers to register. Entry costs €30 for the 750 metre race and €35 for the 1,500 metre race and teams of four can take a Corporate Team challenge.

    The 750 metre race starts at 9am on Saturday 9th August and the 1,500 metre race starts in waves from 10am. Swimmers can compete in wet suits or togs. On line registration closes on 8th August and swimmers can also register on the day.

    The pricing is a little off, if your already with Swim Ireland through a swim club the registration is 20euro and not 30/35 euro
