mail from usa problem

hi looking for a bit of help on a package from usa im waiting on,
ithem was sent priority mail international from miami last tuesday,
had a few updates threw sort facilitys in usa then miami,
i then expected it to be on its was to ireland,
now when i check today a week later it says gone threw another sort facility in canada,
thats the third one
now is this normal , why would it went from miami to canada ,
seems its gone backwords,
dont ever remeber anything else i ever ordered goin in that route,
woild it not go direct from miami,
any ideas,

different routes are used all the time - can go from canada to amsterdam or munich and then to london and then to dublin, or it can go canada to dublin as there are now flights from canada to dublin.

Best not to be watching the route - just allow it time to arrive. (7-10 days normal)

just seemed abit strange on the route its gone,
its now on its 7th day in transit ,
thought it may of been in ireland by now,

expect a customs delay , while they look into and if it duty is due your going to have to pay that to the postman in cash.

well got a update today when i checked canada post tracking,
its taking since the 22nd of july to get to canada now its saying ithem being returned to sender, insufficient postage,
any idea whats going on there,

not a clue but i get onto the sender asap

ya iv been onto him.
he says he cant understand why it went to canada and has no idea why its goin back to him.
not much help really.
