Question - Work breaks in the HSE

I was given details of a HSE Clerical rota that was 4 days a week (4 X 12.5 hour shifts for one week and 5 x 8 hour shifts the next week).

Does anyone know what breaks you would receive for the 12.5 hour shifts especially? I didn't get a chance to ask but when I was discussing it with someone later they said that there isn't even a 1 hour lunch on that shift, that it was something like 15mins and then 30 mins and then 15 mins.

That's seems rather short? Anyone able to shed any light on this for me?

I can't comment on a clerical role but I work in a hse funded area. nursing capacity
My shifts are 13. Hrs. 8am to 9pm
Breaks are morning break 15 mins
    Lunch break 30 mins
After noon (around 3pm) 15 mins
Tea break around 530 ish 30 mins.

That's it no hour for lunch either and no staff canteen anymore due to cut backs!!!

For the 8 hr shifts I'd say
    Morning 15 mins
    Lunch 30 mins
    Afternoon 15. Mins

Thank you for that. I was used to a lunch hour and 2 x 15 minutes breaks with my last employer for an 8 hour day. Although lunch wasn't paid - so 7 hours paid work.

I would rather go back home early than have a 1 hour unpaid break tbh.
I used to have a 1 hour unpaid and it was a waste of time. Now I do enjoy 30 minutes paid and some coffe breaks when possible. Much better setup, and more is done during the day than it was in the past.

Good luck with your new job, enjoy it.
