Headlights gone

    guys the headlights are gone on my 04 megane, i still have full lights but no dims, would it cost mush to get these fitted in a garage? i just want to make sure i'm not getting ripped off thanks

    Did the dips both go at same time? If so it's probably the control stalk acting up.

    yes both at the same time, i went out the other evening and all of a sudden neither worked, what is the control stalk and how could i fix? thanks

    Are you sure 1 wasn't working previously and then the other went?

    That's the usual sequence of events particularly in a Megane.

    Did you actually take out bulbs and check them(they will look dark) also try the handbook a lot of cars have fuse for separate light functions,may be just fuse.

    check the bulbs,fuses,relays then the stalk one of the 4 is bound to sort it,well that was my experience with my megane anyways,bloody French cars and their dodgy electrics

    Surely both dims aren't on the one fuse/relay......Oh wait, it's French, anything is possible.

    yes both bulbs look fine, presumably its the fuse...
