Is 850 euro expensive for return flights to Chicago ?

    Hi just contimplating on travelling to Chicago at the start of August , I found flights for 850 euro return as it would be my first time travelling To the states I just want some feed back if it's too expensive , or is it a reasonable price to pay !

    Ya accommodation wouldn't be a problem I would be staying with relatives , I no it's very short notice ! Just trying to weigh up the options ! It would be with united direct from shannon

    Skyscanner itself is just a price comparitor - you buy the flights off the sites it links to. Sometimes this is the airline, more often its a travel agent.

    Most of them are absolutely fine but I'd stay away from eDreams anyway. I would always check the direct price on the airline's site also if its a travel agent showing as cheapest.

    You can get them a lot cheaper with a bit of pre-planning OP. Aer Lingus sale is usually about 6 months in advance and you'll get a return for the 550-600 mark or thereabouts.

    I flew to Chicago a few years back. We paid €600 each but that was in April. Flew St.Louis via Chicago too and that cost around the same in July.

    Both times through aerlingus.
