Prevalent means common, which it isn't.

Haven't seen any. Seen a lot of hard working people abused verbally by wasters but that's not racism so it obviously doesn't matter.

Cycling home the other evening, minding my own business, guy passes me out , I catch him at the lights and pass him, he passes me again, clearly making an effort, suddenly I realise, he's a racist, a bicycle racist, so that's one kind inanyways-oh, and he was on a black bike!

A guy I worked with in a call centre said there wasn't a chance of us getting outsourced because "no-one wants to talk to a fcuking paki bastard"

Our jobs were outsourced 6 weeks later.

i thought you said verbally abused by waiters. usually the other way round.

And to be fair, I've seen people be nasty to staff more often than I've seen racism.

These threads pop up with ferocious regularity on here OP, I doubt much has changed in the country since last month's thread with a "how are we for racism now lads?" theme.

Was playing an underground poker game in Queens New York one time and this African American guy was using the "n" word all night.

Worst racism I have ever come across.

My music teacher said "F*ck, sh*t, balls, n*gger" when he dropped something when I was in 3rd year.

We just laughed because they were only words.

You sure? They seem to be letting off Welcome fireworks pretty regularly to show their neighbours how much they want them to come visit.

" C'mon take fcuk till we get out of here, I don't wanna be catching aids."

The first time I witnessed racism was when I was babysitting two of my cousins who are half-Korean when I was a teenager. This was actually the most serious form of racism I've ever seen since it involved adults against small children. This happened back in the mid-1990's, I was about 15 years old at the time, I was babysitting them on a beach (they were 6 and 10) while our parents & grandparents were in a restaurant on the strand. We were just playing football with a beachball. We weren't bothering anyone when a bunch of elderly men & women (around 60+) started picking up stones and throwing them at us, yelling "go back to your own country", and stuff like that. I had to cover them as best as I could and get them back to the restaurant with those feckers following us and throwing stones. You'd think a bunch of people that old would have more sense than to pick on small children unable to defend themselves! Disgusting behavior!

Seen a black girl in her 20s get heil saluted last week on Dame St by some English bloke (part of a large group of guys on stag I assumed).

His mates seemed to just ignore what he did and none of them broke stride.

I was in a shop a few years ago around the time a young girl visiting Galway had been murdered. Behind the counter was the Irish manager and an Indian man were serving. A few middle aged male customers were chatting over the counter to the manager about the murder and who might've committed it. They were all of the opinion that it wouldn't be "one of our own" ,then one of the men motioned to the Indian guy and said "it'll be one of these lads, these blow in foreigners, you never know what they'll be upto" and the conversation continued with the men nodding agreement and no one missing a beat as if this was a perfectly acceptable thing to do.
Anyway I chimed in that I couldn't think of a murder committed here that was not committed by an Irish native. They ignored me but I was glad I said something anyway even if it was completely ineffective.

Turned out the murderer was a Galway man too.

Not exactly racist per-say but here goes, my neighbours most of them are foreign, there are a couple from Africa and many from Eastern Europe, two at least have been blaring Polka music and tribal music at least twice a week for hours on end, Landlord has done nothing about it, should I start blasting out the auld ra songs(IRA music) to make this a race war?
