Pretty sure I punctured hole in freezer whilst defrosting earlier. Tried to remove a thick bit of ice with a knife (I know I know ) and then a hissing sound :(
    It's an integrated fridge freezer.
It's being making a "whirring" noise since.
Is the whole lot fecked now ?
And if yes how long have I before stuff starts to defrost ?
    I feel stupid :(

Yea think its as good as being turned off now, my mother did this years ago and the hole was repaired with new gas put back in by a guy who sells and fixes fridges and freezers in shops, he said he wasn't sure if it would work. It didn't. Had to buy a new one.

If it stinks then thats enough - get rid of it all .

Now when your new fridge is delivered , the guys will take away the old one for recycling .

But I would suggest that you first of all , remove all the copper and alluminuim and sell this separate to your local Recycling centre .

And get less than the value of the petrol you used to drive there for the featherweight of stuff you're going to sell.
