Coolant Level

I was on a bit of a long run back from holiday recently.
Car was parked up for 5 days, then a 4 hour drive home.

On the way the Temp light started flashing. I had a look, expansion tank was empty. I let it cool down and fired in whatever water I had to hand. Took it handy for the rest of the way, only about another 30 mins.

I filled up the tank with water when it had cooled down. Kept an eye on it over the week, the level was dropping in the tank.
Kept filling it and was keeping an eye out. I noticed a drip falling from the engine block, but couldn't find where. Spoke to a guy i know well in a motor factors, he gave me some stuff to put in the tank for sealing small cracks. That stopped the drip, but I've been keeping an eye, the level in the tank is still dropping, just very slow now.
I don't see any leaks anywhere.

Bottom line is, I need this sorted, funds are tight, is this anything anyone knows about, or is this a garage job?
Garage rates are pretty high here so i don't want to be taken for a ride.

Oh yea, its a 1.3 CDTi 2011 Corsa.

Best bet is to spend the time finding the leak then people can give you a better idea on how much it will be to fix it. Best bet is to pressurise the system with a hand pump rather than running the engine

How do I go about doing that?

    Bring it to a mechanic..

He will put a different cap onto the filler tank, and use a hand pump to pressure the system.

He should then be able to see where the water is leaking out.
