    Jericho vs. Wyatt
    announced on Raw.

Also on Box Office before anyone asks.

I have heard rumours that WWE might turn Nikki Bella heel, so I expect a screwy finish with Brie vs. Stephanie match with Nikki costing her sister the victory.

It's a potential spoiler and not the sort that I was led to believe is ok in these threads.

If this was a feud I gave a crap about id be raging here.

I do apologise didn't think that it was going to be a spoiler since it is only speculation, dirtsheets can be right or wrong with news.

These things have a high enough success rate IMO, imagine someone posted a rumour that Brock was to break the streak, or a more specific one, that Rollins was to heelturn after Payback or whichever PPV it was.

I'd have been raged to have either of those ruined on me with a rumour.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Blue_Dabadee

I am complete opposite, i am actually enjoying what they are doing with Brie Bella at the moment with Stephanie, i never cared that much about The Bella Twins till this storyline came about after Payback.

People always complain about divas not getting enough tv time yet divas are getting plenty tv time recently even though some of it is cringe worthy like the stuff they are doing with Summer Rae and Layla it is certainly better than divas not getting any tv time at all.

I think we might get The Uso's vs. Big E & Kofi Kingston for tag team titles at SummerSlam.

A few sites suggesting Sheamus might drop US title to Rusev.

Is he not still feuding with Swagger?

If Rusev needs teh title, it would do him teh world of good and Sheamo doesnt need it.

    Soviet Title anyone?

Was just thinking, Brie quit, then slapped Stephanie. Why didnt Stephanie just counter-sue instead of giving in to her demands?

Rusev is still feuding with Swagger, a flag match has been added for Summerslam now.

Brie broke her contract by not giving notice of her intention to leave, then assaulted her former employer in front of the world, then continued to show up to her former place of employment and try to disrupt the show. Brie then verbally assaulted her former employer on live TV.

Had that actually gone to court, Brie would be laughed at and probably end up having to pay out herself. They REALLY didnt think this one true. :pac:

Brie isn't suing, she was pressing charges !!

    .....I can't believe I'm having a legal discussion about a WWE storyline. Let's stop.

I really couldn't care for Cena v Lesnar at SS. With one week to go, nether man have even been in the same building together. Theres no heat between them and so I have no interest so far in watching this match. WWE can try with there video packages (which are good as always) but I still have no reason to care.

Zero build, little interest from me.

All the feuds also, with the exception of Ambrose / Rollins are just going through the paces too.

Jericho v Wyatt is so far the same as every other Bray Wyatt feud. Wyatt attacks, face takes on both Rowan and Harper in singles, The Uso's get involved. Face gets beaten down. Bray Wyatt promo which is so similar to his other promos'. Match at PPV. I expected better.

Rusev and Swagger seems to be the same every week too. Hasnt progressed much.

I couldnt care for Brie or Nikki Bella and no matter how much Steph tries, I still dont want to see this angle.

It's amazing, they have such a strong roster, it's such an important show(they desperately need to boost the Network numbers), you'd think they'd be going balls out.

But no, as Joe said they're going through the motions.

    That is pretty unacceptable tbh.

Not that it matters, i'll still watch Summerslam, i'll still enjoy it. No one will remember or care about the build if the show is good.

Me too, Ill watch it but I just cant get over how they are resting on their laurels. Its like they think "We have Cena and Lesnar, a match so big that it doesnt need strong a build", but it still needs a build.

Oh WWE you've done it again.

That's the point though, they are entirely correct.

Doesn't make it right or good and it's not exactly a good method to grow and expand the product.

They'll always get the core viewers no matter what pretty much. But why should anyone who is new or casual give a ****?

WWE is just so sterile now. Where are the risks? The desire to try new ideas and push the envelope that they had in the 90s? Everything is so scripted and choreographed.

Oh that's right, they don't need to take risks. And this is the end result.

The one exception is Ambrose, you really get the sense that everything is raw and unpredictable around him. If anything it exposes the rest of the product for what it is.

I'm sort of the same. I find Lesnar to be quite overrated as taboo as that may seem.

The 2012 match with Cena was great, it had a novelty to it being Brock's big return and the stiff style they worked but he hasn't interested me since. I wouldn't be surprised if this match ends in a screwy or non-finish or even Cena winning by a last minute change by Vince.

I've a feeling Cena will win this one. If Lesnar wins it what good would it be to have a champion who doesn't do house shows and has very limited dates.

The Rumble to Wrestlemania period is different to Summerslam-Rumble. TV ratings tend to be lower as the NFL kicks off. Buy-rates have been lower also I believe.

With a lot Network subscriptions coming due in September they will probably try to make NOC a big(ger) show than your usual B-show. Lesnar is booked for that one.

They could get away without having Lesnar champion on house shows. Fwiw Raw in the early days didn't always feature the champion, so I guess there's precedence :p

Yea I was waiting for the rock to be brought up. Even though the rock has limited dates he was around more than Brock and when he wasn't around he was in the media and on twitter tweeting about the WWE.

I can't see lesnar raising that much attention for the WWE when he's not around.

Lesner will win this. Cena is nearly in that legend position where loses won't really hurt his marketability. However after ending the streak feeding Lesner to Cena makes no sense. Lesner has lost enough as it is. He will win this one.

Given they have one World Champ but run two sets of house shows, they've already been running "Championless" shows for a while anyway. Reality is that the title belt isn't a draw for those sort of shows anyway; kids go for John Cena, not "WWE Champion, John Cena". Has anyone ever gone to a house show expecting the title to change hands?

It used to be done in the old days not usually by WWF but others. The champ would lose in one town and either regain it in the next town or the title change would be disregarded hence where the phrase "if it didn't happen on TV, it didn't happen".

The WCW title changed hands in Dublin around 1993.

(I agree with your point however)

Well, in fairness Brock has the full UFC gimmick at this stage. He fights on big shows and PPV's. You wouldn't see Ronda Rousey or Don Jones on a UFC on Fox show. Why expect Lesnar to be any different?

Brock got hefty mainstream attention for taking the streak. By no means am I saying that this is the level of the streak, but I'm sure the press would love "Former UFC champion becomes WWE champion".

Just as going from acting to wrestling is a big deal with the Rock. This is a big deal with Brock. Lesnar doesn't need to tweet or do media about WWE. That's what his advocate is for.

My Client and current WWE World heavyweight champion BROCK LESNAR conquered the Undertakers undefeated streak at Wrestlemania.

    It practically writes itself.

As for the build. I'm enjoying it. I mean we've already seen Brock and Cena brawl before their last match. We know Lesnar would kick his ass in a fight like that. Keep them apart for as long as possible and if they need to interact, do it one or two weeks before Summerslam.

This has a big fight feel to it. The promo packages and work by Heyman alone are making it seem huge. They want this to feel as real as possible. They don't want it to be to gimmickey or hokey so let's see where it goes.

This PPV could shape up quite nicely. Y2J Vs Wyatt, Steph VS Brie, Rollins VS Ambrose, Miz VS Ziggler and this Main Event. This show looks pretty good to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

The show will be solid on the night as long as unlike Cole v Lawler and Bret v Vince, Steph v Brie is kept short. Beating Jericho won't do much for Bray but it should be a good match at least.

Brock v Cena is something looking forward to hugely, last match they had was immense and the package last night was great.

All fine matches on paper, minus Steph v flatchest Bella, but apart from Abrose and Rollins theres been a weak enough build for this big PPV. They could do so much more.
