When looking for a good deal on a specific game, it's worth checking out Cheap Shark and Is There Any Deal? There's another popular one that I can't think of at the moment...

You could also install Enhanced Steam which, among other things, will do a quick price comparison on the games you're browsing in the Steam Store. Actually, just install Enhanced Steam anyway - it's great!

I usually buy stuff from Kinguin.net or G2A.com when looking for cheaper games.

I've used simplycdkeys, g2play, fast2play and kinguin in the past with no problems. Just check that you are getting the English language version or that you don't need a proxy to unlock it.

Amazon.com with a US address can be decent too. But check the games are not region specific.

you can just check all those with a meta search engine www.allkeyshop.com

Thanks, I use dlcompare sometimes but I've found that they no longer show fast2play or g2play in the results so I just stick to what I know works now.

    +1
It was through using Enhanced Steam that I managed to get Enemy Within for €9.99. It told me that it was that price on GMG with a code, and gave me the code.

the key seller sites can sell Steam specific keys, which you then activate on Steam itself. It downloads, and keeps it up to date etc as normal.

Note, sellers can also sell Origin keys, or Uplay ones and so on, so confirm what platform your purchasing before getting confused as to why your origin key doesnt activate in steam etc (I speak from experience!)

Thought this would be the best place to ask. If I bought a game from Steam US site, is it okay or will it result in my account being blocked? just since it's the whole dollar to euro straight conversion

Very much a no go. Humble however don't seem to mind!

I and others buy keys off of Amazon US all the time with no consequences but some games are region locked for example anything by Deep Silver who make Dead Island and Saints Row 4

Steam key resellers are fine for the most part but steam store isn't worth messing with

sorry yes didn't see it was Steam US, don't go there seriously

Cheers. Yeah just saw Humble Store charging in Euro and decided to check the US version. So Thief for $9.99 instead of €9.99. So just got me wondering about the Steam store
