    Hi guys

I'm thinking about getting health insurance, I suffer from head aches and dizziness from time to time and was looking at VHI.

One thing is not clear for me, am I fully covered when I go to one of VHI swiftcare clinics to visit GP or have xray, blood test done etc. so I don't have to pay a penny or how does it work?

    Ring them and ask them.

Most important thing to look at is your excess.

    Say yor excess is 200.

Then you go to doctor 4 times at 50 a pop, you can't claim anything.

And sometimes they only pay say 25 per doctor visit, so you'd have to go 8 times before reaching your excess.

Preexisting conditions will not be covered for a number of years. So if your dizziness is recorded in your records, its likely they wont cover anything related to it.
