Was at longitude on Sunday. Went to town after and got bailed on by friends in whelans.
I said id stay and finish my drink when a girl whom had caught my eye came over and said did I want to join her and her friends. So I did. Had a great night with them, so much so they invited me to another pub after.

The girl in question kept holding on to me and we really clicked. She was smart, funny, and a beautiful girl.

Stopped in Zaytoon and proceeded to share a taxi back to the local. Turned out we live in and around the same suburb.

Only thing is neither of us got each others numbers and i only know her first name.
Id love to bump into her again and actually see how well we click.

However there is a complication. I split with my long term gf last week. We had lived together and i thought we were going to be in it for the long haul. She has been back on to me to get back together as it was just a tiff. However after meeting this girl in town my head is a mess. I don't know what to do or where to turn.

Yes i love my girlfriend well ex. But the other girl knocked me for six. The only other time that happened was with the gf.

    Any help guys?

Put the second girl out of your head entirely and make your decisions about what to do with your ex. Once that decision is made, then think about whatever comes next, but not before the decision.

I think you need to get your head straight regarding your feelings for long term partner before considering your next steps - be they with someone else or alone. From the sounds of things what happened was a bit more than a 'tiff' - long term relationships don't split up for a week over something trivial, and the fact that you would "love to bump into her again and actually see how well we click" says quite a bit about your relationship.

This isn't judgement here by the way - relationships do end all the time and people move on. But I think you need to take some time to consider the root cause of your fight with your girlfriend and decide if it's something that you can work on with her and want to get back together with her, or if you feel that it is insurmountable and the relationship has simply run its course.

In all my years of going out, never, never have a group of beautiful girls asked me to join them.

Realistically you are in the middle of a break up so it would probably be ill advised to try to hook up with the new girl right now, you probably know that deep down and maybe that's why you avoided asking for a number on the night.

I'm guessing you might be thinking, "If I wanted to get back with my ex, why was I so quick to become attracted to someone new?" Don't look at the new girl as a potential love interest just yet, look at it as a catalyst to reassess what is going on with your ex/partner.

Figure out what you want to do with that first. Seeing as you live fairly close to the new girl, you'l probably bump into her again when your in a better position to pursue it and see how it goes from there.

If you truly loved your ex girlfriend you would be putting all your energy into making things work with her, not chasing after a girl you just met.

you need to be on your own op to decide ,do things as a single person for a bit, then if it feels right to be with the ex then do it...is it just me that it feels odd for the ex to want you back.

Come on man, you're very obviously not ready for a new relationship. The fact that a stranger in a pub you have only known for a few hours has knocked you for six proves this.

Forget about her and deal with your ex situation.
