    I'd say it's a toss up between the 930 and the 1520 for the best WPs on the market right now.

    930 is a great choice.

    Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm looking for a cheap unlocked smartphone, hopefully under 100euro. I think a Lumia might be my best shout, there are some other cheap smartphones on ebay but I have an historical affinity to the nokia brand.

    Would the 635 be dated now? I just want a reliable smartphone, I don't play games, only use the usual social media apps. I would like a good camera but I'm willing to sacrifice that for price.

    I would try picking up a second hand 640 or 650.

    You'd need to get one that runs Windows Phone 10. Most of those older ones won't. Also one that has at least 1GB of Ram.

    A Moto G would be an alternative of you wanted Android.
