    Hi there,

My Friend is from France and looking to obtain Irish nationality, He has lived here since June 2009, but left to go back to France around June last year until about March this year. He is aware he may need to wait another few months so he has 5 years. His problem is that he moved around a bit while living in Ireland and that includes banks etc. So how can he get the last 5 years residency proof? Will revenue help?

Ironically for EU citizens, residence can be hard to prove, non-EU nationals need permits to remain in the country and this is handy documentation.

If you friend remember where he lives for all these move, a letter from whom ever he lived with might do.

But why does he want to spent over a grand for this, when it does not give me any extra privileges or rights.
