    any idea when in the night that might be - early or late? work close to the racecourse but don't fancy enduring couple of hours of boring warm up act before the main event....

    Also, what surface are they going to race on? Surely the racecourse is all grass, not best suited to a road bike?

    There must be something more to this than a straight head-to-head 1/4 mile blast along the racecourse. The horse will absolutely destroy Nico on any surface, never mind grass. It won't even be a contest......

    I make that 72kph over 500m.

    So it might be possible for Nico to win if:

    (a) The horse is slow and has a standing start.
    and/or
    (b) Nico can sprint like Chris Hoy and gets a flying start.
