No because I'm not a hipster or 5 years old (realise it would be hard to grow a beard at that age). I am not trying to start the next big internet fad.

Shoot them in the face on general principle. Or at least forcibly shave them. It's trying far too hard. Now I don't mind hipsters. In some ways I'm a toned down middle aged one and that's one thing I do like about hipsterism, it's not so age defined. Neither is it size defined. Fat bastid or scrawny bastid it can work. However, like all things it's knowing when to stop that marks out the stylish, fun or the full on twats. When full on twatism kicks in it's nearly always compensating for a lack somewhere else. Huge beards can often show up as an attempt to mask aggressive baldness. It doesn't. You just end up looking like an upside down face. Garlands, or other beard "furniture" is often compensating for being a fat or anorexic git. Though to be fair the pics are mostly of skinny enough, normal guys.

I don't think this is actually a serious thing, they seem to be putting flowers in their beards for the purposes of taking an artsy photo, I can't exactly imagine it taking off or anything, if I had a beard I might be tempted to put a flower in it for the craic, I'm a little impressed that a beard can hold flowers like that, but mostly I just find the pictures funny, in a laugh at them sorta way.

I quite like it. Some bearded folk seem a little bit too proud of their beards, so it's a giggle. Like when Conchita won the Eurovision there, and I could see a wretched conundrum form and detonate behind my proud beardy friend's beard. :pac:

Beards used to be cool. Now they are for **** with full sleeve tattoos who wear sleeveless tops only, real groovy hats and glasses they don't actually need for vision.

They ride their old style penny farthings or whatever because they are just too ****ing cool and retro to actually pay for a bike or car like the rest of us.

Something tells me that your average hipster gets laid a lot more than people who are still spending their time on the internet complaining about fixie bikes and "ironic" facial hair.

It looks silly but, as has been said already, based on the way the pictures are taken it looks as if they're done for artsy purposes rather than a candid snap of some due whose idea of hip is kicking it with daisies in his beard.

As a life long beard proponent, I have spent very little of it clean shaven. A half dozen times I have reached a very impressive stage of man beard. And then we had the creation of The Hipster, which in itself was bad enough to endure. But now we have this, this flower wearing nonsense.....
