Wishful thinking I fear. It's a rumour that's being doing the rounds since Tesco moved out in December but Penneys have been linked to Gorey before and nothing ever came of it. It's a pity because it would be an ideal location for them and I reckon both Penneys and Gorey would benefit from it.

Seroiusly, Tesco is gone or did they move to Ballycanew roundabout? So what they are left with, Lidl only?
I remember my first and last alcohol shopping at Tesco after 22, story to tell my grandchildren :)

I'd say it will stay derelict for the time being. It was purpose built as a Tesco, but if need be Penney's could move in.

Apparently Lidl is going to move into the old Tesco while they do their renovations.

According to today's Irish independent, frozen food supermarket Iceland is moving into the old Tesco supermarket in Gorey.

The right moves: Will Ireland go to Iceland? http://www.independent.ie/business/commercial-property/the-right-moves-will-ireland-go-to-iceland-34665445.html
