Help with identifying a part

I took off a right hand shifter from my bike there and I have found a part that fell out. Could any body tell me where it goes as i cant seem to find where it came from. It's a 105 5700 shifter

Looks like the nut for the clamping bolt.

I don't think it is as i still have the nut for the clamp

I had a look at the tech docs but couldnt seem to see the part anywhere which was strange

its the nut that binds the lever to the bar. On campag the bolt goes thru the lever body from the front. That nut sits behind a band which the bolt screws into. I guess you loosened the bolt fully and that fell out..

Thanks. I've had a look and can't seem to get it to connect there as the bolt is alot bigger than the nut in the picture. Sure I have to drop it into the shop so i might just show it to them.
