Due to have Wisdom Teeth (WT) extracted in the next few days. Cheek beside one of the bottom WT has flared up and become swollen/infected.

-Generally does this mean they wont extract this WT until infection has gone? I don’t want an exact answer as details are limited (I'm no expert), but from your experience/expertise what are the likelihood of this tooth extraction

    - Additionally , any idea for reduction/removal of swelling apart from anti biotic? Will salty water work?

A small to medium infection they would probably remove. A large infection, probably not as it limits opening and access. Salt water and corsodyl rinses may work for a superficial infection, antibiotics for a larger infection.... Generally....
