Lol.. You can't say that, and then follow up with that question.. :D

    I... Don't....

I'm trying to justify all the stuff I have already, and come to terms with it.

But 64GB Padfone.. For less than half price......

    I don't know.. Gaaahhh :)

Do a review when you get it please, very tempted by these, that was one of the reasons I sold my last tablet when it was gathering dust, preferred the android on my phone as it was "My Android" if you know what I mean.

Just a quick update on the Padfone.

I received it Tuesday so fast delivery even with the Bank holiday weekend.Well packaged with little inflated bags in the box so not much chance of it getting damaged in transit.
The phone itself is light but well built and has a nice finish to it.
It has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a good smartphone,
good processor speed, sharp picture, good sound and a good camera. The resolution isn't as sharp when using it in the tablet but it's still very good.
The call quality is good and I get good wi-fi connection on it.
It needs to be updated to Kitkat(there is a link on the Asus site for it)but I don't think I'll chance that yet as I wouldn't be the most techy of guys :)

Overall I'm very happy with it.My son has Galaxy S4 and my daughter has an Iphone 4s and it's every bit as good as them with the added bonus of the tablet.

They had the offer for the 32GB one again yesterday, and I missed it.
I saw it minutes after they were all gone. So they may have a few. I'm going to keep an eye on this, as it may be perfect for me travelling... :)

    Thanks for that.

P.S. - The update to Kitkat shouldn't be that difficult.

There are a good few reviews on YT about it including one about the update but true to form I watched them after I bought it(damn impulse buying) but it's well worth the money, even better if you can get a refurb with a guarantee.

I picked up a lovely case for the tablet which would be perfect for travelling on ebay for 20e

    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/400733317130?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

and a case for the phone for 8e(haven't received yet)

    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/160996096124?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

The battery life seems good on the phone and the tablet will charge it when it runs low if you can't find a power source so even better if you are going somewhere remote.

It says "More than 10 available / 232 sold".
But above that, it says "This listing has ended."

I think you made same mistake as me.

Post #19 from Allyall said that, it says "This listing has ended." at top of page.

I think they were talking about the €249 price. I'd certainly buy it at that price, but not at €399.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 933 ✭✭✭jousting with chairs

Ah right, but it's still good value for 399 when you look at the prices of a good unlocked smartphone here.
