You won't get JA if you left your job voluntary

    You'll probably need your P45.

These days, you go to the office to make your claim, they give you an appointment and any forms to fill in and a list of anything they require to bring with you the next day. You will be means-tested on your parents if you don't qualify for JSB.

You may. Up to 9 weeks exclusion, and they may ask you to reapply for your old job.

Unless you had a very very good reason to leave your job , you won't be getting JSA any time soon. SW will send a form to your last employer asking for the circumstances of your departure, if they confirm that you gave in your notice, you'll be disqualified.

If you were made redundant that paperwork should be enough.

If you were let go you will get JA. And at your age you'll get 100 a week. If you're parents work their income will come into account and may affect how much you get. If they get a state benefit that won't be taken into account. The wait time on JA can be quite long if you need the money while you're waiting go to your CWO and they'll pay you while you wait. It'll be given back to them with your back money.

Glad to help! Perhaps you could get Jobseekers Benefit? It would be worth asking about, since that's 188 regardless of age, I think. You can read more about it here.

Your local sw office will be able to tell you if you are eligible for benefit or allowance. If you qualify for benefit then the personal rate will be determined by your average weekly earnings in 2012.
