I'm going to blackpool in a few weeks and we are going to go shopping there and in Manchester after we see a united match. I know that the prices exchange to be the same but I was wondering if there is any particular shops that would be cheaper to buy from than over here?! also if you have any tips on things to do in blackpool besides the obvious pleasure beach/tower eye/ maddame Tussauds/ sea life that would be great and if any of you have stayed in the hilton there what's it like?

Stuff is Asda is usually very cheap and good quality. What kind of stuff are you after? Blackpool other than the seafront is a hole. So id stick to the promanade and shopping area whist you are there. Check out the Trafford Centre if you head to Manchester or the Arndale Centre in downtown Manchester very good shops around there. Also Liverpool is just down the road with loads of great shopping to be had Liverpool One the met quater etc... Down the road from Liverpool is Cheshire Oaks its an outlet village which has all the desinger shops with good deals to be had.

Yeah I've been to the arndale and Trafford centre and love them! Clothes shopping is what I'll mostly be doing and my mam will be in Liverpool a few days before so I'll be sending her shopping for me :) I heard that topshop is cheaper over there and h&m?

I didnt see a big diffrence in H&M's prices over there than here. TK max however is better over there.

The sterling exchange rate is brutal at the moment. A euro only gets you 79p. Bear this in mind, Dublin is full of UK visitors stocking up because it's so much cheaper for them to be here.
