Strange problem with ACDSee 10

Hello everybody, I have a registered installation of ACDSee 10 (quite old, I know) and I keep having a annoying problem with it. Sometimes, when I open a photo and zoom in or out, or try to rotate it, the screen freezes for a while then it turns to a white window (the photo disappears) and the application says to me that the data format of the file is not recognized.
When I close the application and I browse the thumbnails within Windows, the thumbnail of that photo is empty and no more usable. It seems that that photo is lost.
The corrupted file is no longer usable even with other photo viewers of the same house (ACDSee Pro 5 or 6) but it works with Windows Image Viewer.
I have a backup of all my files, but this is a really bad situation.
Has anyone else had this experience and know how to solve it?
    Thanks in advance!
