Hi, I am looking to apply for a medical card. I am 32 and live at home with my parents. I am a full time student going into second year this September. I am on Jobseeker's Allowance of €188 for the summer and this will finish in September.

I am just wondering if I would be entitle to a medical card, I have been looking it up on citizen advice etc and I am unsure if I meet the requirements.

I won't be on any payments from September so would it be best to apply them or would I still have a chance if getting it now being on Jobseeker's benefit?

    Thanks :)

Apply now, more than likely you will qualify for a medical card seeing as you're on JSA.

Thanks for the reply. I will apply straight away, I will be needing it a lot more now in the coming months so hopefully I am entitled to it
