Help with automatic gearbox?

    Hi all,

I have a 03 Audi A4 with a multitronic (I think that's what it's called) gearbox and I am experiencing some weird symptoms with it.

    1. The first one is, when I put it in drive and attempt to take off by taking my foot of the brake, the car will barely move.
I press acceleration pedal and the car would delay for a slight second and then have a strong jerk before taking off.
All other gears seem to be fine regarding this, even when I do exact same procedure but in reverse, the car takes off smoothly with no problems.

    2. The second issue I noticed is when driving on the motorway, at about 100km/hr, below 3k rev, I feel a slight change in engine tone and I can see it as well in the revs. The meter tends to go up slightly, not by much but if I look carefully I can see the meter going up and then coming back down quickly.
I noticed that if I drive over 3k revs, say 120-130km/hr, this change won't happen.

Any ideas please? I am strongly hoping a transmission fluid and filter change would solve this problem?

Probably a good first step. I have no experience with that box though.

Automatic gearboxes respond very well to an oil and filter change. But beware don't be tempted to save money by buying spurious parts. Spend the money and get the genuine stuff. Also change the gasket when you refit the sump and check the magnets in the sump for any signs of furring.
