Just wondering if anyone would recommend a warming drawer .... Or do they end up being a fancy tea towel drawer except for a few days a year? Looking at a display model Siemens one for c €200 (thinking of the Siemens single oven & hob packages out now plus a combination microwave oven)

Just get a double oven and use the second oven as a warming draw when needed or as a second oven the rest of the time. ;)

Have you considered a steam oven? Would go for that over a warming drawer.

Do you bake your own bread? They are supposed to be great for proofing bread.

I know somebody with one. It's used more often than you'd think. Sunday dinner when you have a few different things on the go for instance or a big fry where there a lots of different plates of food. They tend to serve meals for 4 on a quiet day, 7/8 plus on a busier day so I reckon it's fairly invaluable to them.

If I was doing a new build or new kitchen and there was room in my budget I wouldn't thing twice. It's the kind of thing that once you have you'd don't know how you did without it to quote the owner I know.
