Where do you all keep your bikes while at home? I personally keep mine under the stairs in the hallway and I'd be curious to know where everyone else keeps their beloved machines ;)

Mine is thrown in the shed gathering cobwebs with no functioning brakes :pac: I hope that I don't get eaten alive for saying this!

Until a few years ago we had a handy little extra shed big enough to accommodate two bikes until it got blown over and wrecked in a storm. Since then bikes have been mainly kept outside but hoping to soon get another one of those sheds.

I keep mine in the house at the moment. A room that is not really used.

Depends on the time of year and what bike is being used; but they live between the utility room, a spare bedroom and a garage...all locked to immovable objects.

In the unused ballroom above the wine cellar in the west wing of the house.
(We're still repairing the east wing after the "great fire" of 1886)

We have guests sleeping in the bikes room, so one is in the bath downstairs and the other is in the en suite bathroom.

Depending on the Value of it:

Outside -> In the shed -> Inside -> In the bed :D

Family bikes in the porch, road bike on a wall mount in the utility room. Larger bike bits and old kids bikes in shed. Re-organisation required to make more capacity for that elusive n+1.

I converted my garage, to accommodate my two bikes and my wife's bike.
    That was ten years ago.
    Six bikes currently reside there.

Functioning bike, on stairs in front of front door. Two out of action / to fix but sound bikes beside the bed (as well as broken/to fix wheels and bits). One in retirement down home in the turf shed. I have flat-based shed envy!

Two road bikes in our sitting room. Nowhere else to put them, but there's a nice little space between the end of our couch and a shelf unit (where the other cycling related crap goes) for them.

one in the spare bedroom, one in the cloakroom. they'll be moved to the garage when i get off my ass and rig up a block of concrete to lock them to.

Wife keeps them under lock and key....!

One in the downstairs toilet. Its at an angle that allows you to still use the toilet and get in and out.

in our downstairs loo. it will have to be moved though as our 2 & a half year old is beginning potty training & his needs superceedes Bettyswollocks (just named my bike). So this weekend the shed is getting a job done on it & a suitable anchor is being put in place to lock Bettyswollocks to!

Would love to see and hear ideas for these anchors?

i was planning on getting a hefty piece of metal and submerging it in a bucket of cement - obviously the metal will have a protruding closed loop to attach it to.

I may just lock it to our placid german shepard/rothwieler cross, Tickles, he can mind it for me.

The 'Study'. My bike, 4 kids bikes, several helmets pumps, bits and pieces i picked up in lidl cycling offers that i 'needed'. needless to say i don't do a whole lot of work in there.

Two good bikes live in the attic, daily commuter lives outside, locked to the railings.

I have no garden. Though to a certain extent there's a nice security in knowing that my two good bikes are pretty much guaranteed safe from theft.

One in the sitting room, two in the garage of my parents' house :o

Dame Street. Locked with two New York locks and two regular Kryptonites. I think it's safer there than in an underground car park. It's a Specialized Allez (for perspective).

My "Media Room" Box Room holds my bike for the winter and the hallway for the Summer. With the arrival of my 29er soon however, I'll probably be looking at a permanent place in the hallway for that.
