Failed my NCT for riped Windscreen wipers

Where would I buy new ones in D15 and also get them fitted?

Aldi ones are grand and it's easy enough to fit them, if I wasn't away for the weekend I'd do it for you

I could give changing them a go. Surely it's not too hard?!

measure the ones on it and try for them in lidl.
You could get them in halfords but they are quite expensive.
Have you got a local motor factors?

I've no idea which motor factors to go to in D15. Would the place in Coolmine that does tyres also do wipers?

There's a motor factors directly across the road from the An Post sorting office in Coolmine (Parts for Cars I think) who are excellent. Just tell them the car model and they'll give you the right ones, might even fit them if you ask nicely.

Parts for cars in coolmine facing the sorting office

It's not hard to fit them, if you go aldi or lidl they are multi fitting so make sure

All else fails, get the lads in motor place to fit them, the money you save from halfords will cover any fitting costs

Great I'll stay away from Halfords!

If you want to pop down to Mulhuddart, I'll throw them on for you. I work beside the motor factors so we can pick them up there. 2 min job ;) I've PM'd you my number there.

There's a new place in Clonsilla village, just to the side of the entrance to supermikes

Carbase. The 2 lads are sound. One of them, Peter, used to work in Mulhuddart Autoparts beside me. Its great to have such a selection in the area, although with count now at 4 (excluding Halfords), you'd have to wonder how they'll all survive.

Got sorted with my wipers - thanks for all the help here.

I went to the place across from the Post Office in Coolmine Ind. Estate.

I didn't go for the basic model of wipers because they looked crap. Upgraded to a more expensive set that looked better.

They fitted them for me which was great!

Carbase closed up shop at the weekend. Sad really, although it was always going to be difficult with PFC in Coolmine as competition.

Shame as competition is usually a good thing.

But PFC are on their doorstep and all i ever see is their vans driving around,so they are mad busy and going to be in peoples minds when looking for spares etc
