hi folks i need a 3g antenna, i need one which will work with both 3.ie and meteor.ie, i am in dread of signing up to the 3 rural broadband scheme as reviews are terrible, i can see both the 3 and the meteor masts from my front windows, i need to try both before signing the dotted line, i have a couple of modems lying around, i have what passes for radio broadband, ping this evening is 208.

The NBS finishes next month, just FYI.

See the midband forum for 3G stuff. Also this thread:

You can see the actual masts but you still need an antenna?

first off i am tech inept, before i became ill i could do this schit blindfolded, i now have computer probs, aand not the yoke that i am typing on at the mo, i can see the mast, i have read the horror storys, i have an e586 and a b260a this i think is faulty, the reason for the antenna is i can see meteors mast but it is about 5-7 miles away, i would like to try both.

i have tried the 3 service using the e586 wireless modem, i got a download speed of 1.29, if this is replicated over the next few nights i will be signing up to their rural broadband thingy.
