    hi all

ive read up on this but wouldnt mind a confirmation
as there are varying opinions all over the web

my toshiba power supply lead was broken
but ive found a quite similar one i had knocking about
acoording to my web research it should be okay to use

    correct toshiba one is 19v 2.37A 50-60hz
    potential replacement is 20v 3.25A 50-60hz

polarity is right and it fits,
ive tried it and it works but will it fry my lappy?
could i even use it for a week til i get the right one?

    many thanks

You might get away with it, but I wouldn't. The voltage should be the same, and the current same or better.

I'd lob it in and work away
