Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me? I am not looking for legal advice :D. honest guv. More a bit of syntax (I think).

I have to write a brief letter giving my sister authority to act on my behalf in the obtaining of probate on our mother's will. I understand I am looking for power reserved, and while I understand what it means and why I am asking for it, I do not know how to use the phrase in a coherent sentence.

Can I say something like 'I give authority to my sister xxxxxxx xxxxxxx to act on my behalf in the probate of our mother's will, with power reserved.' Is that how the phrase is used?

    Thanks for any suggestions.
